About Me

I was born and mostly raised in Hawaii, graduating from Punahou, UH Manoa, then University of Colorado School of Law.  I practiced Water Law in Boulder, then returned home to Hawaii.

I joined the law firm of Alcantara and Frame, which specialized in Admiralty Law.  While there, I represented some large multi-national corporations, both in Admiralty and in civil matters.

I left Alcantara and Frame and became Of Counsel to two firms (Fukunaga, Matayoshi, Hershey and Ching, and Case Lombardi) in Honolulu.

In 1997 I moved back to Waimea, because my husband became the first orthopedic surgeon at the newly opened North Hawaii Community Hospital.  I set up and ran his practice for years, taking a few cases on the side.

I became licensed as a real estate agent in 2017, and worked first with Elite Pacific, then Corcoran, and now Compass

I enjoy real estate, because it is more creative and collaborative than law.  I think my background in law is very helpful.

I become a Certified Divorce Real Estate Expert, in 2023, which is a great blend of my legal and real estate backgrounds.  CDREs can add tremendous value in divorce cases where real estate must be sold.

I charge by the hour for my legal work, ($300+ GET) and pass through expenses such as mileage and filing fees.

I do not take many clients, because I have other demands on my time and want to ensure that I give my clients all the attention they need and deserve.  I'm happy to speak with prospective clients, and charge $250 for a consultation of up to one hour.
